Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July readers!  I just finished Hello, Sunshine this morning and it made for a great summer beach read for anyone looking for a fresh and fun novel.

Synopsis:

Sunshine Mackenzie has it all…until her secrets come to light.

Sunshine Mackenzie is living the dream—she’s a culinary star with millions of fans, a line of #1 bestselling cookbooks, and a devoted husband happy to support her every endeavor.

And then she gets hacked.
When Sunshine’s secrets are revealed, her fall from grace is catastrophic. She loses the husband, her show, the fans, and her apartment. She’s forced to return to the childhood home—and the estranged sister—she’s tried hard to forget. But what Sunshine does amid the ashes of her own destruction may well save her life.

Review:

I would like to thank Simon and Schuster and NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

This was a quick and breezy summer read. I found this story about love, trust, and how to overcome obstacles to be one of the best books I have read so far this summer. I loved Sunshine Mackenzie from the start despite most of her life being a lie. The novel had great pacing and had me laughing out loud multiple times. I loved the way Sunshine told the reader that the story was not going to take a predictable route and because of this I thought it was a fresh perspective on a typical beach read. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for something fun and new for their beach bag.

Summer Reads

Happy Saturday readers!  This week I read Curves, Kisses, and Chocolate Ice Cream by Sue Watson.  If you are looking for a fun beach read for summer this book is for you!

I would like to thank Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

From the very first page this book had me laughing out loud. Dani has struggled with her weight all of her life and was a very relatable character for anyone who has tried any fad diet. She has been on and off the diet wagon and finally decides to change her life throughout the book. This novel had me smiling and laughing all the way through and Dani had me nodding along with her for every gym trip or ice cream sundae she ate. The imagery in this novel is beautiful, it made me constantly want ice cream and a walk on the beach and it made for a perfect summertime read. Click on the image above to purchase your own copy!
